DURHAM FOR OBAMA is an independent and completely voluntary, grassroots organization comprised of
~11,000 volunteers and supporters, who are dedicated to promoting and electing Senator Barack Obama as our next
President of the United States, and in the process, help turn North Carolina blue from bottom up. If you share these goals, then
you're at the right place!!
We welcome you to explore our website and share your ideas, time and effort. See what else is going on with the group at

*** CREATE THE CHANGE SURVEY ***
Some DFO members have worked with other local activists to create a survey to see what people in Durham most
want to focus their organizing efforts on, post-election. Please take the survey! The link is below: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=anRI2Lf5z7EQoNTmrZY3VA_3d_3d
If you can volunteer to go door-to-door to give the survey to Durham residents who may not have internet access, please email:
ctcdurham@gmail.com, go to the Blog: http://www.ctcdurham.blogspot.com or call 919-373-4151.
*** DURHAM FOR OBAMA: THE MOVIE ***
In an effort to capture, document, and celebrate the inspiring stories that comprised one of the most successful
campaigns of our time, Grassroots Productions is making a documentary film about Durham for Obama. This film is about the grassroots movement
in Durham, NC, that helped turn a red state blue. We hope to not only relive the stories of volunteers and community organizers, but also to
remind viewers how enriching and satisfying it is to be part of a larger movement toward a greater good. We hope to come to a better understanding
of how this movement happened and what it will take to keep it going. Please help us make this film! To donate, volunteer, view a 4-minute preview,
and learn more about this project, please visit our website at www.AGrassrootsProduction.com. Thank you for your help!
*** HELP FUND DURHAM FOR OBAMA'S WEBSITE ***
We need to raise some money to keep DFO's website, database, and listserv going. Without the website and listserv,
we have no easy way to keep in touch with you and let you know about post-election organizing efforts. The website, listserv and database costs
$80/month. If you can contribute to this cause (we'd like to raise enough to keep the website up for at least a year), please make a secure donation
via paypal at our donation webpage. For further information, please email donate@durhamforobama.org. Thank you!!
*** INAUGURATION ***
Looking for inauguration tickets? Tickets for Durham residents need to be requested through Congressman David Price's office.
Here is the link to the on-line request form: http://price.house.gov/contact/inauguration_form.shtml
*** INAUGURATION PARTY IN DURHAM***
If you would like to work on planning an inauguration celebration in Durham, please contact Tammy Hayes at: tammy@durhamforobama.org
It was an honor to celebrate the momentous occasion of our President-elect Barack Obama's victory with all those who came downtown in the drizzling rain on Nov 4th.
The memories of that night will last a lifetime. Read all about it in the Durham Herald Sun.
We warmly thank all of our SPONSORS and the
ENTERTAINERS, who have graciously and enthusiastically contributed their time, energy, resources, space, and finances to this
celebratory endeavor.
Commemorative Barack n' Roll t-shirts are still available (while supplies last) for $20 at Blue Coffee Cafe.

*** MISSING BANNER ***
The Durham for Obama banner has gone missing. It was last seen hanging on the wall at the Marvell Center at the Nov 4th Barack n' Roll celebration.
Many supporters have contributed to its creation, and we would greatly appreciate having it back. If anyone has any information or seen its whereabouts, please contact thao@durhamforobama.org.
Thank you!

Host a "Change is Coming" house meeting
Sign up to host a Change is Coming House Meeting and invite your friends, family, and neighbors. You'll get all the materials
you need, including a special DVD, from the Obama campaign. Discuss the issues that are most important to you, what you
can do to support Barack's agenda, and how you can continue to make an impact in your community. Now is the time to put
aside partisanship and politics, find common ground, and work together. Please invite those who might not have been involved in
the campaign, even those who might have supported our opponent. Host a party to celebrate our historic achievement and
take the next steps to bring the change our country needs:
